Wet Snow 04:22
When we're old we won't remember, you said, before we snuck into the woods. And I pretended there were bear tracks, in the wet snow, and you pretended we were ghosts. Held a flashlight in my pocket, but you said, no, don't turn it on we've got the moon. And then we knelt down in a clearing, and you looked up, took two drinks and felt it burn. You look like a deer in the snow, my fingers are cold, I can't think straight. In the morning we will sit down at a wood table, you'll have cereal and I'll have eggs. You'll tell that story about your old boyfriend, and the train that he jumped on. I'll want to cry but hold it back. Then, I'll go back in my little woodshed of a bedroom, and play guitar until it hurts. We'll both go outside in the backyard and shoot the shit. We'll do it over and over again. You look like a deer in the snow, my fingers are cold, I can't think straight. One year between you and me, it's still hard to sleep, I can't think straight.

Camelot 05:14
Down by the docks in the dead of the winter, where I saw your face in the swirl of the water, I was so damn tired and I saw a freezing fire. Tumbled down off of the railing, in the Hudson Bay my lungs were wailing as they filled with ice, and I saw the light. O, Camelot, you were Guinevere I was Lancelot. My point is blunt, must every Arthur have his sword? Drawn by subway steam, or was it dragon's breath that drew you into me? You with eyes that glint full of emerald, call me on and I'm in another world. Salty brine spilling in my spinning mind. Now I know that that was the end of me. Here reborn I am my own enemy. In courts of kings and a weary jester sings: O, Calydon, where Merlin dreamed of stolen gold. And I'm growing old. But still I hear you calling on and on. If these dreams had wheels, they would drive all night, into the city, to the avenue, beneath the streetlight, where I held you tight.
